Fast food and simple meals are something we love. Cheap, quick, and easy meals are a staple in nearly every household. This recipe is all three. This is not a standard packaged ramen with a spice packet. This ramen is seasoned with real Asian ingredients like Sriracha, sesame and soy. It has a hard boiled egg in it for protein and some greens for color, you know, good greens. These noodles are spicy and delicious.

Is this recipe spicy? How can I make it spicier/less spicy?

Yes, this recipe is written spicy. If you want to crank up the heat to “burn your face off” you’ll want to double the amount of Sriracha in this recipe. If you want to tone it down, try halving or even quartering the amount of Sriracha sauce. Even with 1 teaspoon of Sriracha, you still get the flavor of sriracha and it’s much higher in calories.

Where do I buy ramen? Can you just use cheap ramen wrappers?

You can find packaged ramen noodles in the Asian section of your supermarket or your local Asian grocery store. You can also use packaged ramen, such as Top Ramen, which usually sell for about 10 cents. Just discard the spice packet. Alternatively, you can buy soba noodles that are very similar and cook quickly.

Sriracha ramen with a boiled egg on top

  • 4 big egg
  • 2 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon i am willow
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 2 bag ramen
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 cup sliced ​​onion
  • Optional sesame seeds and crushed red pepper flakes for garnish

  • Place the eggs in a saucepan and fill with water so that they are covered with about 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil over high heat. When it boils, cover and remove from heat. Set a timer for 6 minutes. Remove eggs from water and place in ice bath. Once the eggs have cooled, peel them. While you wait, prepare the noodles and sauce.

  • In a small bowl, combine Sriracha, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and minced ginger. Stir to combine.

  • Bring another large pot of water to a boil. Cook the pasta for about 2 minutes, until tender. flow away.

  • Toss cooked noodles with prepared sauce. Top with fresh cilantro leaves, scallions and soft-boiled eggs. Garnish with red pepper flakes and sesame seeds, if desired.
