3 Cheese Chicken Cavatappi will make your family feel like they’re dining at a restaurant. Pasta with cream cheese topped with grilled chicken and bruschetta. This will be a family favorite!

This is a parody recipe for the popular dish of the same name served at Applebee’s. Now, I’m not one to frequent many chain restaurants. I prefer to explore more interesting local restaurants wherever I go. But Applebee’s is a large American restaurant chain, and it’s popular for a reason. This pasta dish is killer. Cheesy spiral pasta with grilled chicken and fresh bruschetta? Ya, how could it not be delicious?

Can I use a different pasta than cavatappi?

Cavatappi is the pasta of choice in this recipe. If you can’t find it, don’t worry. You can also substitute macaroni, or even elbow pasta. Cavatappi is not only fun to use, but also practical as it helps the sauce stick to the pasta.

Pro tip: The bruschetta in this recipe is a must. It adds a fresh element to an otherwise heavy dish. If you have leftovers, you can serve it on toast. Yes, it’s real bruschetta, and it’s pretty darn good!
