Taste your feelings with these Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. Here’s a 3-ingredient dessert that will satisfy all those late-night cravings.
I love simple desserts. This is the best “eat what you feel” dessert. It’s super easy to make and features one of the world’s favorite flavor combinations: chocolate and peanut butter. You can’t go wrong. It’s like eating a giant Reese’s candy bar, it’s amazing.
I’d say it’s sitting on the counter these days, but let’s face it, they don’t. They are used up before they have a chance to spoil.
Troubleshooting Tips
The image and recipe have been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people. Are you crazy? While most people who make it have no problem and enjoy this decadent dessert, here are some troubleshooting tips:
peanut butter
Depending on the brand of peanut butter you use, it may call for more powdered sugar than listed. Add enough powdered sugar to get a thick consistency that will hold its shape. Both natural and coarse peanut butters work for this recipe.
chocolate
For this recipe, you can use milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips. Cheap chocolate will yield poor results, so be sure to choose good quality chocolate chips. Some store brands of chocolate chips are actually chocolate-flavored chips, which makes a big difference. I personally use Ghirardelli or Guittard milk chocolate.
to cut
The ones you see in the pictures don’t require any special cutting methods. If refrigerated for a long time, it is too cold and it will be difficult to cut. These bars can be stored at room temperature once the chocolate has hardened, which means they should be easy to cut.
paste
This is your pan or chocolate. I’ve used both glass pans and metal non-stick pans with no issues. I don’t wire it or spray anything. Some pans, especially the scratched ones, can cause sticking issues, as can cheap chocolate. If you’re concerned, you can line the bottom of the pan with waxed or parchment paper.
