5 minutes to prep and just 40 minutes in the oven to make delicious beer bread. This quick and easy bread is great with soups and stews, and it doesn’t require yeast!
Our favorite is the freshly baked homemade bread. Ok, we know you technically shouldn’t slice hot bread, you should let it cool. But honestly, we all did. While fresh bread can be great, you really need to work for it. Many bread recipes call for a long rise, and while it’s always worth it, sometimes we just don’t want to wait.we want fresh bread Now.
45 Minute Beer Bread has us satisfied with fresh homemade bread without any waiting. It only takes 5 minutes to prep and 40 minutes in the oven. No kneading. no rise. No need to wait. While you can make just about anything with this bread, we especially love dipping it into soup and using it to toast in the morning. You should also try the cheese bread at least once! There’s nothing like cheddar beer bread.
Does it matter what type of beer I use?
not at all! Different types of beer change the taste, so the best thing to do is to try a bunch of different types and find your favorite! We recommend starting with a light beer, such as a lager or pilsner. Feeling more adventurous? Try India Pale Ale or Stout.
Where’s the Yeast in 45 Minute Beer Bread?
Thanks to the beer, this recipe doesn’t require any yeast. The yeast in the beer interacts with the sugar to leaven the bread. Of course, baking powder helps too.
Does the alcohol cook out?
When comparing alcoholic beverages, beer already has a very low alcohol content. Once baked for the full 40 minutes, nearly all the alcohol should be out of the loaf.

Storage Instructions:
Let your bread cool completely before storing in an airtight container or bag for up to 4 days.
