Do I need to add chocolate kisses?
No, you don’t have to “kiss” your cookies. You can still have delicious peanut butter cookies without Hershey Kiss. Once the cookies form into balls of dough, simply use a fork to press the crosses into the tops.
Why do these look like mounds when baked?
These cookies will not flatten naturally. If you make it without chocolate, you’ll want to press it with a fork before baking. If you’re “kissing your cookies,” they’ll be nice and round once you’ve spread Hershey Kiss on top.

- 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup White sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 big egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- twenty four unpacked hershey’s kiss

Preheat oven to 350°. Line a large baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. on hold.

In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl with a hand mixer, beat together the peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar on high speed for 2-3 minutes until creamy and smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.

Using a tablespoon, spoon dough and roll into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place on prepared baking sheets, about 2-3 inches apart.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 8 minutes.

Within 1-2 minutes of removing the cookies from the oven, gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.

Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
