  • 3 pound Granny Smith Apples Peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping

  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup softened salted butter
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramel Topping

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9×9 pan.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together apples, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel topping. Transfer to prepared pan and spread evenly.

  • In another mixing bowl make the crispy topping. Using a fork, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mash the butter with a fork until you get a crumbly mixture. Stir in oatmeal.

  • Spread the crispy topping evenly over the apples.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, until the apples are soft, crisp and lightly browned.

  • Serve hot with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping.
