Get ready for this Southern twist on lasagna. Shrimp is the star of this seafood pasta with lots of cheese and homemade Southern tomato sauce. That’s what I mean when I say something is made from scratch with love!

Lasagna noodles are a huge time saver in this lasagna dish. You just put them all in, hard, and they’re perfectly cooked. It’s kind of weird. If you can’t find oven-safe lasagna noodles, you’ll have to use regular lasagna noodles, precooked in boiling water according to package directions.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 white onion diced
  • 1 Bell Pepper diced
  • 2 celery stalk diced
  • 6 clove garlic broken
  • 2 tablespoon Indian seasoning
  • 28 ounce crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounce ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon sugar


  • 4 ounce shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounce Shredded Jack Cheese
  • 4 ounce shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 16 ounce ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Indian seasoning


  • 1 pound raw shrimp shells remove the tail
  • 1 tablespoon Indian seasoning
  • 1 pound Lasagna Noodles


  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, bell peppers and celery. Saute until tender, about 5 minutes.

  • Add garlic and cajun seasoning. Toast for 1 minute. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cheddar, jack, and mozzarella cheese. Toss to combine. In another mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, Parmesan, eggs, Cajun seasoning, and a handful of the shredded cheese mixture. Stir well.

  • Cut the shrimp into small pieces. Transfer to a mixing bowl and add cajun seasoning.

  • Assemble the lasagna: Spread a tablespoon of the sauce on the bottom of a lightly greased 9×13 pan. Create a single layer of lasagna noodles, overlapping each by about 1 inch. Cover with 1/3 of the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture on top. Top with half the shrimp and a handful of shredded cheese. Repeat to make another layer of noodles, sauce, ricotta, shrimp, and cheese. Top with the last layer of noodles, remaining sauce, and remaining shredded cheese.

  • Cover the pan with foil and bake in a 375 degree oven for 40 minutes. Remove foil and cook for another 20 minutes, until cheese is hot and bubbling.
