Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is one of our favorite dinners. Spicy Cajun chicken, lots of veggies, and a creamy sauce. It’s almost a perfect recipe. Even better, this Cajun Pasta has only 8 ingredients! This is a super easy meal to throw together, perfect for family dinners.

You can really use any shape of pasta to make Cajun Chicken Pasta. I prefer linguine, but other popular options include macaroni and pasta.

Cajun seasoning makes everything better, not just chicken! Love dark meat? Use chicken thighs! More of a seafood foodie? The shrimp in this dish are amazing! vegetarian? Skip the meat and eat more mushrooms and add some extra veggies like tomatoes and zucchini.

Can I make the chicken ahead of time?

To save a few minutes of cooking time, you can always prep, cook, and slice chicken up to 2 days in advance. Saute in a few teaspoons of oil on the stove until heated through, reheat on the stove.

Storage and Reheating Instructions:

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in a skillet on the stove over medium-low heat until heated through.

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 6 teaspoon Indian seasoning Divided into
  • 6 tablespoon butter Divided into
  • 1 pound flat noodles
  • 3 bell pepper assorted colors, sliced
  • 1 Shallot slice
  • 8 ounce mushroom slice
  • 2 cup heavy cream

instruct

  • Rub each chicken breast with 1 teaspoon of cajun seasoning. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 3 tablespoons of butter. Fry the chicken breasts in the butter until browned on both sides. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to cook until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, about 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove chicken and set aside to rest.

  • Cook pasta according to package directions.

  • In the same skillet you cooked the chicken in, without rinsing, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Add bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. Saute until the vegetables are softened. Sprinkle remaining 2 teaspoons of cajun seasoning over vegetables and cook 1 minute.

  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Simmer until the sauce thickens.

  • Toss cooked pasta and toss until coating and vegetables are evenly distributed. Thinly slice chicken breasts and serve over hot pasta.

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
