Bring these to your next party, or stay home for snacks all night. Either way, you’ll love them!

How long do you cook crab mushrooms?

It will vary depending on what you stuff the mushrooms with and what temperature you cook them at at the time. Because these mushrooms are stuffed with delicious crab meat, they need to be baked in a 375-degree oven for 15 minutes.

Imitation Crab Meat vs. Fresh Crab:

There are generally two types of fresh crabs sold: crab meat chunks and crab claw meat chunks.

Claw meat Tends to be much cheaper and still makes a delicious crab cake. It can be sold in refrigerated jars or in plastic bags. You can also buy it in the seafood aisle of your grocery store.

crabmeat cubes It is also sold in the canning section of grocery stores near tuna, but it is not considered fresh. Not recommended for this recipe.

imitation crab Can also be used in this recipe if you want to save money. But nothing beats real fresh crab. Imitation crab is usually made from cheap pollock and has a variety of fillings. That being said, it really comes down to personal taste, so if you really like imitation crab, or just don’t want to break the bank, give this recipe a try.

Note in advance:

Whip these up, then put them in the fridge for up to 24 hours. This makes these the perfect appetizer for your next party because you can make them the day before and have your house ready the day of the party. Pop them in the oven right before you’re ready to serve.

Storage Instructions:

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms are best eaten fresh. After serving, you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments until heated through.
