Buttermilk Substitute:

If you don’t have buttermilk, you can make a homemade buttermilk substitute by adding 2 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice to 2 cups of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before adding the batter.

Can Homemade Fried Oreos Be Gluten Free?

Absolutely! You can use gluten-free Oreos, or your favorite gluten-free Oreo cookie, and swap out the flour for a gluten-free flour mix.

Single and double:

We really like the double Oreos in this house, but you can use single or double.

Storage and Reheating Instructions:

Fried Oreos are best eaten fresh and get soggy quickly. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or regular oven until heated through.
