What is Fruit Curd?

Fruit curd is a fruit-rich, jelly-like spread that can be used as a topping or filling for anything from toast to pies and cupcakes. It’s like custard, but uses egg yolks and butter instead of cornstarch to thicken and add texture.

What should I do with the lemon curd?

Lemon curd goes well with almost anything that works well with lemon, especially baked goods. It’s a great dessert topping, but it can also be used in things like toast and English muffins. It’s a great addition to yogurt and the perfect filling for donuts and candies. If you like things lemony, this is sure to please.

Storage Instructions:

This curd will keep fresh for up to 1 week in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in the freezer. The texture wasn’t quite as good after freezing, but it was still good, much better than store bought curd.
