We are all on the edge of summer. That snow should have all melted off your grill. It’s time to get out of the way and embrace the warmth that is about to enter your life. These kebabs are the perfect way to do just that. Who doesn’t love meat on a stick? One of our favorite parts about grilling is how quick and easy it is. These roasts are absolutely packed with flavour. They have notes of citrus and vinegar with a hint of spice. Omg the kebabs…don’t mind us we’re all drooling. You will too. These babes are so delicious!

Can I make kebabs without a grill?

While chicken kebabs are grilled the traditional way, you can also make kebabs on the stovetop using a griddle or heavy frying pan. Just like a grill, you need to preheat your skillet to high heat. The skillet cooks the roast over high heat until the meat is cooked to desired doneness, rotating every few minutes. Be careful not to overcrowd the pot.

Skewers:

You can use metal or bamboo skewers. If you are going to use bamboo, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using.

Fresh vs. store-bought lime juice:

Fresh squeezed lime juice is always the best. However, you can substitute store-bought lime juice in a pinch.

coriander:

You’ll want to use fresh cilantro. The taste is simply unbeatable, and dried cilantro will not have the same effect.

What should marinated beef skewers be served with?

We like to keep it themed and grill everything! The grilled corn on the cob and vegetable skewers were delicious! Pair it with a fresh green salad and you’ll have a well-balanced and tasty meal!

Note in advance:

You can make a freezer meal out of roasts so they’re ready on the fly. Simply prep the beef and freeze it in the marinade in gallon-sized resealable plastic freezer bags. When you’re ready to make your kebabs, remove the freezer bags from the freezer and place them on a plate in the freezer until thawed.

Storage Instructions:

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat on grill over medium heat until heated through.
