Fajita Burgers combine all your favorite fajita flavors into delicious burgers that are perfect for any backyard BBQ!

Can I tell you I love this burger? It’s juicy, messy, soft and full of flavor. Carl’s Jr. isn’t kidding when they say it doesn’t belong on your face if it’s not all over the place.

Fajita burgers are quicker to make than regular burgers, and I swear they taste better. The first time I made this recipe I was going to use regular ground beef but then forgot to buy it at the store. I had some good flank steak and decided to give it a try. oh baby! My eyes saw possibilities for a whole new world of burgers!

Fajita Burgers with Grilled Steak, Bell Peppers, Red Onions, Cilantro and Sour Cream on Sesame Bread

I prefer to make this on the grill as it adds a nice smoky flavor, but you can also make this indoors in a large skillet. I also tried black bean burgers instead of beef for a vegetarian version of this recipe. Again, it’s also delicious. I am in love with these things! You can also make these with regular roast beef burgers and top with a pepper and onion mixture. Consider adding some fajita spices to the ground beef mixture for extra flavor.

Are you a cheese lover? Consider adding some sliced pepper jack cheese for the cheese option. The heat from the pepper mixture should be enough to melt the cheese a bit. The key is to make a double cheese and keep all your fixings together.

Don’t be fooled by the long list of ingredients, it’s really easy to make. Most ingredients are repeated! I have you season the meat with a quick marinade and season the veggies with some fajita seasoning. The list may seem long, but it really isn’t bad at all.
