Sometimes simple recipes are the best. This recipe is very simple. Pork tenderloin is seasoned with a little salt, pepper, and herbs, then seared in garlic butter. It’s so simple, but absolutely delicious!

How long do you cook pork tenderloin in the oven?

The amount of time it takes pork tenderloin to cook in the oven depends on its thickness. Pork needs to be cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F or medium rare to a maximum of 160°F. Pork tenderloin cooked at around 160F can be a bit dry. It will take about 15-20 minutes to reach the lowest temperature if the meat is not seared, or 10-15 minutes if it is seared before roasting.

Can pork tenderloin be a little pink?

Yes! Pork tenderloin can be a little pink. Pork is actually considered a red meat and does not need to be fully cooked like chicken. Pork needs to be cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F, which will give your pork a pink color. This is the perfect temperature for moist, juicy, tender pork tenderloin.

  • 1 1/2 pound Pork tenderloin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 5 clove minced garlic

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Season pork tenderloin with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Melt the butter and add the garlic. Stir for 1 minute.

  • Fry the pork tenderloin in butter until browned on all sides. Transfer to an oven-safe dish and roast in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (medium-rare) or 160°F (medium-rare).
