Grown Up Chicken Nuggets

Home ยป Grown Up Chicken Nuggets

Oven Baked Chicken Nuggets from Scratch are just what every grown-up needs. You will devour these!

This nugget is bursting with flavour. We like to use honey mustard as a dipping sauce. These freeze well for later enjoyment. Just freeze before baking and add a few minutes to the baking time. These babies have a crunchy exterior, while the butter keeps the chicken breasts nice and juicy.

Most fast food chicken nuggets are made with meat pulp. Doesn’t that sound delicious? The original fast food chicken nuggets were introduced by McDonald’s in 1983, so seriously, at 29, bring a good grown-up version, it’s time for nuggets!

  • Fried and Grilled Chicken Nuggets:

Chicken nuggets are traditionally fried. Baking is a healthier choice for both adults and children. Just meat and breadcrumbs, toss in the oven! The high heat helps to crisp up the chicken pieces. Using a dark-coated pan will also add crunch to the bottom of the nuggets.

  • Chicken Options:

We prefer chicken breasts for our nuggets, but you can always use boneless, skinless chicken thighs if you prefer dark meat.

  • Dip:

Not sure what to dip? You have many options! We love honey mustard, but you should also consider:

    • ketchup
    • mustard
    • barbecue sauce
    • cream ranch
    • buffalo sauce
    • mayo
