Spice Levels for Hearty Healthy Turkey Chili:

If you are sensitive to spices, you can go ahead and reduce the paprika. We also recommend looking for canned mild green chilies.

bean options:

We love the combination of cannelloni and kidney beans, but you can’t go wrong with beans in this recipe. Feel free to use your favorite beans.

Cooking time:

We know how tempting it can be to shorten the simmer time, especially on busy weeknights! But you really want to set aside the full time to ensure the best flavor.

Slow Cooker Instructions:

We love the ability to prep dinner in the morning, making the slow cooker our best friend. To make this in the slow cooker, you still need to brown the turkey, then sauté the onion and garlic on the stove. Once it’s ready, go ahead and add it to your slow cooker along with the other ingredients. Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 3 hours.

Instant Pot Instructions:

To make this chili in the Instant Pot, first brown the turkey in a sauté pan, then add the onion and garlic and sauté until tender. Once the onions are softened, add the rest of the ingredients. Set the steam release valve to the sealed position and cook over high heat for 25 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then carefully turn the valve to the vent position to release the remaining pressure.
