Isn’t party food the best? There are always so many options, from super delicious desserts to bite-sized appetizers full of your favorite cheese. We can easily make a complete meal out of our favorite appetizers, and fried wontons are a favorite. This appetizer will keep you coming back for more and always feeling a little guilty because you’ve eaten most of what would have fed 20 people. But don’t worry, now you can make your own home in the privacy of your own, and no one will know how much you eat.

What type of ravioli should I use?

The beauty of a recipe like this is that you can easily customize and swap out different types of ravioli. Keep it classic with basic cheese ravioli, or use your favorite meat ravioli. It’s all up to you!

Can I use frozen wontons?

You can’t always use frozen wontons, but they need to be completely thawed before using. We recommend thawing them in the refrigerator overnight.

Can I double the recipe?

Yes! This recipe is easily doubled. However, you don’t need to double the oil for frying.

Service suggestion:

You can serve it as a side dish or appetizer, or even as a main course! We will not judge. No matter how you serve it, there’s nothing better than dipping fried ravioli in Alfredo or Italian tomato sauce. We highly recommend that you get them with plenty of both!

Dip the fried wontons in the dipping sauce with one hand.

Air Fryer Instructions:

Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place prepared coated ravioli in a single layer into greased air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray (or cooking oil) and air fry for 3 to 4 minutes. Flip over, spray the other side with more cooking spray, and fry for another 3 to 4 minutes.

Note in advance:

You don’t want to fry the wontons ahead of time. They won’t stay crunchy. However, you can always have the wontons breaded and completely ready 24 hours in advance. Just stick them in an airtight container or cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until ready to fry.

Storage Instructions:

Fried wontons are best eaten raw. However, you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. They will soften the longer they sit. Reheat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until heated through.
