Frying eggs is a simple technique that can be used in a variety of ways. Whether you’re eating them straight up, or with an egg on your plate, you can easily master this technique with a little practice.

How to Make a Sunny Side Up Egg

step 1 – Over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a small nonstick skillet. Swirl the butter to cover the bottom of the pan.

Step 2 – Crack the eggs into the pan. Cover the pot. You can use a lid or a piece of aluminum foil. This traps the heat inside the pot, cooking from the top and bottom. Reduce heat to medium-low.

Step 3 – Cook until the whites are fully set on top. The yolk should ooze when broken.
