Delicious and cheesy, this Italian Meat Stromboli recipe is perfect for pizza night and an easy and delicious addition to your weekend routine!

We do a lot of pizza here. Like a lot! We have 4 kids to feed and sometimes run out of time so we like to make pizza as much as possible. Sometimes it’s frozen, sometimes it’s homemade, but whatever the version, it’s always good.

The dough used in this Stromboli recipe is my all-time favorite go-to dough. It has minimal ingredients and is quick to whip up (minus the rise time). We’ve used it on bread sticks, pizza crust, and cheese stuffed bread and it has never disappointed us!

What is the difference between STROMBOLI and Calzone?

A calzone is pretty much a pizza folded in half, stuffed with your favorite pizza toppings, and baked. Stromboli is rolled so it has layers of crust and toppings in each slice.

WHAT’S IN STROMBOLI?

You can put almost anything you want in the Stromboli. The basics start with pizza dough or bread dough, then fill with cheese, pizza sauce and cold cuts. We love mixing it up and making different variations of our strombolis, making them Chicken, Supreme, Philly Cheesesteak, and more.

How long was STROMBOLI cooked?

Stromboli are usually baked in a 400 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes, depending on size. They don’t take long to bake and can feed a crowd!

Our kids go to so many events year round and we love to keep some homemade pizza dough on hand for nights we want to whip out some plain pizza or these delicious pepperoni!
