Last week I took my kids to the park and made a quick stop at the grocery store beforehand to catch the cereal sale. (Our house is probably full of cereal addicts). I was hungry and didn’t pack a snack for myself, so I bought a jalapeno cheese bun from the bakery. I feel a little silly paying 69 cents for it when I know I can easily make it at home. so what did i do I ate one for 69 cents and immediately went home and made 3 loaves myself. My husband was convinced I was giving them away and wanted to make sure we got some for ourselves. Only 1 loaf of bread was given away. Call me selfish!

We took the bread to a local park called Twin Peaks, which has the best views. You can see for miles. You can enjoy wonderful mountain views as well as lagoon and sea views. It was heavenly. We enjoy the view while eating bread, and then play a three-section seesaw. If you ever get a chance to ride the three-section seesaw, I highly recommend it. Seriously, this is pretty cool. Pure madness. As for the bread? You should totally give it a try too. Delicious people!

Skip the bakery and make this easy artisan Mexican cheese bread at home. This easy homemade artisan bread only requires 6 ingredients!

raw material

  • 1/2 tablespoon instant dry yeast
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 chili slice

instruct

  • In a mixing bowl, combine yeast with salt and warm water. Add flour and knead until fully combined.

  • Wake up for 1 hour.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Form dough into a large ball, then stretch it into an oval about 1 inch thick. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and jalapenos on top. Put the jalapenos in the center as they will spread out as the cheese melts and the dough expands.

  • Bake for about 20 minutes, until the cheese starts to brown.
