All the flavors of a jalapeño wrapped up in a delicious meatball with a surprising cheese filling in the middle. This is a family favorite!

What would you say if we took a regular meatball and changed it up to jalapeno meatballs? That’s right, get ready to sweat because we’re in the kitchen today making jalapeño meatballs. It mixes diced jalapeños with minced meat, then stuffs the center with cream cheese. They are delicious and a family favorite.

These are surprisingly versatile. You can make these meatballs in batches and freeze them, and when ready to cook, just increase the cooking time by 10 to 15 minutes. You can also easily turn them into killer meatball subs. If you’re a little nervous about spice, you can add more or less jalapenos to your taste. No need to warm yourself up!

  • Meat Options for Jalapeño Popper Meatballs:

We love these beef meatballs, but you can also use pork, chicken, or any ground meat.

  • How much jalapeño should I use?

If you want to make meatballs that are mild and kid-friendly, stick to 1/2 a jalapeño. Medium heat, 1-2 jalapeños, if you really want spiciness, use 3 whole jalapeños.

  • Service suggestion:

These are hearty enough to serve as a main course, but you can also serve them with rice or mashed potatoes. Our favorite way to eat jalapeno meatballs is with BBQ sauce instead of garlic.
