raw material

  • 5 Bacon Sticks diced
  • 1 chili minced
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1/2 shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt to try
  • 2-4 tablespoon melted butter

instruct

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until bacon begins to crisp, about 5 minutes. Add jalapeños and cook 1 minute more.

  • Remove bacon and jalapeños from bacon grease with a slotted spoon and place in a small mixing bowl. Reserve the bacon grease in the pan for popcorn. Toss the jalapenos and bacon with the cream cheese and cheddar.

  • Pour the popcorn kernels into the pan. Cover and cook over medium heat until the popcorn pops. When the popping slows, remove the popcorn from the heat. Season with salt, then add the melted butter.

  • Form into small cream cheese balls, about the size of a small grape. Put in the popcorn and roll, pressing the popcorn into the cream cheese so it sticks and forms a ball. Repeat until all the cream cheese is used up.

  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
