No matter how many times we make them, we never tire of chicken breast meals because there are always new ways to prepare them. One of our complaints is that chicken breasts can easily get overcooked and dry out, no one likes a dry piece of chicken. thigh? Juicy every time. breast? Look away for 30 seconds and it dries. Luckily, we just had to come up with a quick and easy recipe to give us the juicy meat we crave. The secret is this amazing marinade and the air fryer. Seriously, the longer you marinate the better. We like to start marinating all day early in the morning, then finally toss the air fryer into dinner time. Pair it with your favorite vegetables, rice or potatoes and you have a well-balanced meal that is delicious.

Fresh squeezed is always best, but you can always use store-bought bottled lemon juice if necessary.

Can I use frozen chicken breast?

Unfortunately, you really need to use thawed chicken breasts in this recipe. We like to pop our frozen chicken in the freezer the night before and have it ready for dinner!

Can I add vegetables to juicy air fryer chicken breasts?

As long as you have room in your air fryer basket, you’re totally fine. Simply add them with your chicken after the first 12 minutes of cooking time when you flip the chicken.

How long does chicken take to finish cooking?

Cooking time depends on the size and thickness of the chicken breast. If using thinner breasts, reduce the time to 10 minutes per side. If using thicker breasts, you may need longer than the recommended 12 minutes. Your chicken is done cooking when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a meat thermometer ensures 100% accuracy.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Store chicken breasts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can keep them whole or shred them. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments, or in an oven preheated to 350°F, until heated through.

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 big lemon thin slices
  • 2 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional)

instruct

  • Place the chicken breasts in a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag. Stir in lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, basil, oregano, and salt. Shake well so all the chicken is covered.

  • Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.

  • Preheat air fryer at 350°F for 5 minutes.

  • Remove chicken from marinade and place in air fryer basket. Discard any remaining marinade.

  • Cook chicken for 12 minutes, flip, and top with lemon slices (optional). Continue cooking for 10-12 minutes, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. How long this takes will depend on the size and thickness of the chicken breasts.

  • Serve hot. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a slice of lemon (optional).
