Air fryer pork chops are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside every time. This recipe is easy to make, quick to clean up, and will turn a pork chop hater into a pork chop lover.

We know, that sounds far-fetched. How many of us have ever eaten a juicy pork chop, let alone made it in an air fryer? question? Nine times out of ten, they’re just overcooked and dry. Luckily, we discovered the delicacy of pork chops years ago, and yes, you can absolutely make juicy pork chops in the air fryer. We love taking out the air fryer for dinner because the food cooks so quickly and it’s so much easier to clean up. The biggest hurdle with this recipe will be deciding what to make! Trust us, you absolutely need to give this recipe a try.

Make sure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded. You’ll want a little airflow around all the stamps to ensure a slightly crispy exterior. Bonus: it will also make your fillets cook faster!

Why should I cook pork chops in the air fryer?

Cooking pork chops in the air fryer is generally considered healthier than frying or pan frying them. Because the air fryer uses less oil, the finished product is lower in fat and calories.

Pork Chops Options

We prefer these bone-in and thick chops, but you can always use whatever pork chops you have on hand. Keep in mind that thinner pork chops will cook faster, while bone-in pork chops will cook more slowly.

Safe Pork Chops Internal Temperature

Pork needs to be cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F. The cooking time for the pork chops will vary slightly depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Pork chops are best eaten fresh. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

To reheat leftover pork chops, you have several options. Here are a few ways to reheat pork chops:

  • oven: Preheat oven to 350°F. Place pork chops on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Bake until pork chops are heated through, about 10 minutes.
  • microwave: Place the pork chops in a microwave-safe dish and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave the pork chops until they are heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place the pork chops in the air fryer and cook until heated through, about 3-5 minutes.

Whichever method you choose, be sure to check the internal temperature of the pork chops to make sure they are fully cooked and safe to eat. The USDA recommends an internal temperature of at least 145°F for pork.

raw material

  • 2 pork chops 3/4″ to 1″ thick
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

compound butter

  • 4 tablespoon salted butter soften
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon coriander chop up
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary chop up
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 splash Worcestershire sauce

  • Place the pork chops on a rack with airflow above and below. Season pork chops with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Preheat air fryer to 390-400°F.

  • Pat the excess moisture off the surface of the pork chops.

  • After the air fryer is preheated, place the pork chops in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the ribs and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Total cooking time will depend on the thickness of the ribs. The final temperature should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • When the pork chops are done, remove them from the air fryer and let rest for 10 minutes with the compound butter on top.

  • In a bowl combine butter, garlic, parsley, rosemary, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
