Making oatmeal smoothies ahead of time is a great breakfast option on the go. You can make a big batch in one afternoon and enjoy it all week. I even used make ahead smoothies for the holidays and kept them in a cool place. Super convenient!

Super filling and healthy, these smoothies are absolutely perfect for fall. It has all the flavors of an apple pie. We typically enjoy ours without any added sweeteners to keep them healthier and lower in calories, but if your sweet tooth needs to be improved, you have the option of adding the listed sweeteners one of the agents.

I made these in pot sized mason jars, but you can use smaller jars too, depending on how big of a serving you want. Some people eat a lot for breakfast, others are less inclined to adjust your storage containers accordingly.

Smoothies thicken after a few hours in the refrigerator. You want to make sure to make these smoothies ahead of time so the oats have a chance to expand and thicken the smoothie.

  • 2 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar

instruct

  • In a blender, combine the almond milk, oatmeal, applesauce, Greek yogurt, spices, and sweetener options.

  • Blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth. Pour into 3 pint sized glass jars.

  • Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. The smoothie will thicken overnight.
