Party Chex Mix is a traditional snack that’s easy to make and the whole family will love! Chex Mix, pretzels, nuts, and crackers are coated in a deliciously flavorful spice coating. Great as a snack or to bring to a party!

We’ve been eating Chex Mix for various parties for decades. It’s something we’ve grown up eating and have now passed it on to our children. It was really fun and easy to do with the kids, and it was a big enough amount that the adults really got our fair share! We must warn you, it’s a bit addicting. If you sit down to watch TV with a bowl of this on your lap, you’ll be eating it all before you know it! Fortunately, it’s not too difficult to make another batch the next day. There isn’t such a thing as much party Chex Mix!

What is Chipotle Sauce?

There are many chipotle sauces available, but the most common ones you’ll find at your local grocery store are Tapatío or Cholula.

Mixed Nuts in Party Chex Mix:

We know mixed nuts are not for everyone as it may cause allergies. Feel free to use your favorite type of nuts (or no nuts at all!) instead of a mix of nuts.

Grain variety:

We prefer to use a combination of rice, wheat and corn Chex. However, you can always just use one or two of these varieties. Make sure to still use a total of 9 cups of whatever Chex Mix you like.

For a fun twist that the kids will love, you can even use Cheerios!

Cheese Crackers:

goldfish? cheese? you choose! You can use any cheese crackers you like!

Soy Sauce Substitute:

If you don’t have soy sauce at home, you can always use Tamari instead.
