Is there a better flavor combo than peanut butter and chocolate? I don’t think so, which is why I’m pairing these two flavors with a peanut butter frosting brownie here – a classic fudgy brownie topped with a silky peanut butter frosting!

Hello everyone, Sam is here again, from Sugar Spun Run, and today I want to share another dessert with you!

Whether in Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or my favorite Buckeye Recipepeanut butter and chocolate are one of my all-time favorite flavor combinations, so I’m extra excited to share my peanut butter frosted brownie recipe with you today!

These aren’t just any ordinary brownies, they’re rich brownies (made with two kinds of chocolate!) and topped with a simple silky peanut butter frosting that’s so delicious you’ll probably never think of ordinary brownies again The brownies were satisfying (don’t say I didn’t warn you).

For the brownie base for this recipe, I used a slight variation of my all-time favorite Homemade Brownies from Scratch, not only amazingly fudgy and full of chocolate flavor, but also can be made in one bowl. I figured since we were going to be dirtying another dish to make the frosting, I should try to use the brownie pan as the base!

Just be sure to let the brownies cool completely before trying to add the peanut butter frosting. If you try to frost them too soon after they’re baked, your frosting will melt on top of the brownies – not ideal!

The peanut butter frosting has only 5 ingredients (well, 6 when you count the salt). The recipe calls for heavy cream, but in a pinch you can substitute an equal amount of milk, or leave out the liquid altogether. I prefer to add the cream because it makes the frosting very light and silky and smooth, but if you want to stack and transport these peanut butter frosting brownies it will be easier if you leave it out.

enjoy!
