I sat there with a jar of peanut butter and a spoon, which was a lot more than I care to admit. I mean, it’s a good thing Costco has such amazing prices on big jars of Nutella, or I’d probably be broke with my Nutella habit. In fact, putting Nutella with something makes me feel better about my consumption. Especially when it comes to whole grains like oatmeal. It’s healthy, right? Well, maybe less sugar and butter, but whatever, it’s better than eating it by the spoonful.

Anyway, I was in the mood for dessert but feeling guilty about the spoon, so I decided to make some Peanut Butter and Nutella no-bake cookies. Oh my goodness this is so easy and delicious. I took a classic recipe for no-bake cookies that I’ve been using for years and worked at Nutella.

This recipe is super easy to make and perfect for cooking adventures with the kids. My kids eat peanut butter Nutella sandwiches as their go-to lunch, so this recipe is right up their alley. The first step of the recipe is on the stove, but I find it’s the perfect way to introduce kids to the stove. All they have to do is stir. Just keep an eye on them and give them a fare warning about the heat and they’re good to go! My kids have been cooking on the stove since they were 4 years old. I promise, they can do a lot more than you can imagine!

Be sure to use old fashioned rolled oats in this recipe. I find they have a much better texture than instant oats which are so small and floury. Then there’s the steal-cut oatmeal, which is too chewy for a no-bake cookie.
