raw material

  • 4 big sweet potato
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • Wipe the dirt off each sweet potato. Use a fork to poke 8 to 10 sets of holes in each sweet potato skin, then wrap tightly with aluminum foil.

  • Place on a baking sheet to catch any juices that will inevitably leak. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour, or until tender.

  • Carefully remove sweet potatoes from oven and unwrap. Cut them in half lengthwise.

  • Add 1 tablespoon melted butter to the inside of each sweet potato. Season with salt and pepper.


Optional toppings:
Don’t just season with salt and pepper, a sweeter option is to top it with butter, add 1 tbsp brown sugar and 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
