As mentioned, the antipasto is a traditional Italian dish. It has been around for centuries and Italians continue to enjoy it today! Literally, the word “antipasto” is derived from the Latin roots “anti,” meaning “before,” and “pastus,” meaning “meal.” translate? What is the difference between appetizer and appetizer?

Appetizers are just the plural form of appetizers! Sometimes you’ll also see “hors d’oeuvres” floating around, which are informal appetizers. It can also mean “before pasta”. Stick to the appetizers, you can’t go wrong.

Should this dish be served cold?

We recommend that you chill the salad in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before serving. We love this cold dish!

Salad Variations

We opted to serve the salad on a bed of lettuce as a light lunch or appetizer. You can also serve it over pasta for a heartier dish. That way, you can serve it as a side dish or even as a main course! this is your choice.

We love fresh mozzarella in our antipasti salad recipes – we always love pearls in these types of dishes. That said, you can use something different or a combination of several cheeses:
