This sauce is a combination of Peruvian pesto and chipotle sauce and it’s absolutely perfect. We like to keep a bottle of this in the fridge at all times because we want to put it on everything. There’s nothing worse than making our favorite potatoes only to find we’re completely out of that green sauce! You’re going to have to trust us and only make one batch. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!

Cilantro Substitute:

Coriander can be replaced with parsley 1:1. It changes the flavor a bit, but it’s perfect for anyone who can’t stand cilantro.

Spice Level for Rachel Pesto:

You can determine the spice level of this sauce by the number of jalapeños you use. Deseeding makes your jalapeños milder, if desired.

Service suggestion:

This is a very versatile sauce that can be served with beef, chicken, pork or even fish. You can use it as a dipping sauce for bread, or even drizzled over rice and potatoes. It can even be used as a sauce for tacos!

A spoonful of Rachel's Pesto.

Storage Instructions:

You can make the green sauce and store it in an airtight container or bottle in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. How long it actually keeps in the refrigerator depends on the freshness of the ingredients used to make it.
