This cookbook takes the dread out of preparing a classic Italian meal by breaking the process down into easy-to-follow steps. Pasta Options

While lasagna is a classic choice for Alfredo dishes, you can of course use other types of pasta. Good substitutes include linguine, lasagna, and even pasta. You can also try pasta with a shorter shape, such as penne or faffèle, which will hold the sauce well. Just make sure to adjust the cooking time according to your choice of pasta.

The value of high-quality raw materials

Using quality ingredients can really elevate your Alfredo sauce, enhancing the flavor and texture of your dish. Fresh premium produce such as premium Parmesan cheese and fresh prawns will make for a delightful and authentic experience. While substitutions are possible, it is important to keep in mind that they may affect the taste and consistency of the dish.

shrimp options

When choosing shrimp for this recipe, choose fresh king prawns or jumbo prawns, as they offer better texture and flavor than smaller or precooked varieties. If fresh shrimp is not available, you can use frozen, raw, gutted, and peeled shrimp, making sure they are properly thawed before cooking. Both wild-caught and farmed shrimp work well, with wild-caught shrimp having a stronger flavor and farmed shrimp being more consistent in size and appearance.

service suggestion

Pair the Shrimp Alfredo with a simple green salad with a light vinaigrette to balance the richness of the dish. You can also serve it with garlic bread or steamed vegetables like asparagus or broccoli for added texture and flavor.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, heat gently in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally to keep the sauce from sticking. If the sauce thickens during storage, you may need to add a little milk or chicken stock to thin the sauce.
