This easy and satisfying Slow Cooker Turkey Soup recipe lets you use up leftover turkey in an easy soup you can make in your crockpot.
Slow Cooker Turkey Soup is the perfect way to use up leftover turkey without tasting like you’re eating leftovers. This soup is hearty, satisfying, flavorful, filling, and healthy. We just love it! If you have leftovers from chicken night, or have a lot of leftover turkey, this is a great soup to make ahead and freeze for a rainy day (or sickness). Seriously, no need for turkey soup for the soul where you stand all day – you should take a break!
Potato Options for Slow Cooker Turkey Soup:
We recommend the Yukon Gold potatoes. They are better than russets in soups and don’t give a grainy, starchy texture to soups.
Sodium Control:
If you want more control over the total amount of sodium in your soup, we highly recommend using low-sodium chicken broth.
What is Poultry Seasoning?
Poultry seasoning is a great pantry staple because it contains the key herbs and spices found in most poultry and soup recipes. It reduces the amount of ingredients you would otherwise have to buy and measure.
Can I do this with chicken?
Yes. This soup is also great for chicken, whether it’s leftover from a whole chicken or you just want to make an easy, delicious chicken soup from scratch.
Can this soup be frozen?
Yes. This soup is great to keep on hand when you need soup but don’t want to make it. Always put the soup in an airtight container and label the container with the date it was made. It can be frozen for up to 3 months.

Storage and Reheating Instructions:
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in a skillet on the stovetop over medium-low heat until heated through.
