In this recipe, I call for flank steak. You can also use skirt steak, sirloin, or even New York steak. All of these will work well in this recipe, so you can stick to the ones that are on sale, or your favorite.

  • 1 Frozen Waffle Chips in Bags
  • ¼ cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon chili
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 pound flank steak
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • ¼ cup sliced ​​onion
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

  • Place waffle chips into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika, garlic salt, and black pepper. Throw on the coat.

  • Spread the waffle chips evenly on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake potatoes at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a heavy skillet over high heat until it sizzles.

  • Cook steaks in skillet until desired doneness, about 5 to 7 minutes per side, medium rare. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes, then cut into bite-sized pieces.

  • Place warm waffle fries in the bottom of an oven-safe skillet or baking dish. Top with steak slices. Cover with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

  • Place in the oven at 425 degrees, or on the broiler setting of the oven, until the cheese is melted.

  • Garnish with scallions and serve warm with a dollop of sour cream and salsa.
