Homemade BBQ sauce is easy to make and the possibilities are endless. This particular recipe uses my favorite spring fruit: strawberries. Use this sauce anywhere you would normally use BBQ sauce. Brush it on some chicken and toss it on the grill, or turn it up a notch and make some homemade chops. It doesn’t get any easier than my Crockpot Ribs recipe. Whatever you decide to use it with, get ready to lick your fingers with BBQ deliciousness.

- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 big onion diced
- 2 clove garlic minced
- 2 cup strawberry Shelled
- 3 Jalapeños with Adobo Sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2/3 brown sugar tightly packed
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and sauté for about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and saute 60 seconds.

Add strawberries, jalapeños, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Puree the sauce with an immersion blender or transfer to a blender. Blend until smooth. Return to heat and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Cool completely and store in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
