Tequila Lime Chicken Pasta is fun, vibrant and full of flavor. This easy weeknight meal is a complete meal with meat, veggies, and pasta, all in one delicious dish. The tequila burns off, so it’s family friendly too!

I’ve been wanting to give you this recipe for years! In fact, I can’t believe it’s not on my site yet! I fell in love with agave lime chicken pasta at California Pizza Kitchen over a decade ago. It’s a bit like Cajun Chicken Pasta meets a citrus party in your mouth. I’m a huge fan of it. This is a home style version of my favorite restaurant. Boy, how are you?

This pasta dish is a complete meal. It has meat, veggies, and of course pasta, so everyone will be full and no side dishes are needed. Anyone for weekend dinner? Super delicious. Now, if you’re not an alcoholic, the tequila will burn off, so no ID is needed for this dish, but if you’re still not feeling well, you can substitute chicken stock for the tequila.

You can use almost any pasta for this recipe. I prefer fettuccine because of the thick noodles. Pasta, linguine, or even bow ties or macaroni would work too. Feel free to experiment with your family’s favorite pasta shapes. The lime slices on top add a fun and pretty garnish, but they’re completely unnecessary for this dish. What about cilantro? Well, I’m a huge cilantro fan, so a cilantro garnish is a must for us.
