Is ground turkey good for you?

This is a question without a clear answer. Ground turkey comes in several different fat ratios, just like ground beef. Choose leaner turkey for less saturated fat and cholesterol than ground beef. You have to compare nutrition labels at the grocery store to accurately compare the ground turkey and ground beef you buy. Like most things, ground turkey can be part of a balanced, healthy diet.

Türkiye Meatloaf Cooking Time:

For food safety, turkey patties need to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. For a two-pound patty baked at 350°F, this takes about 1 hour. However, if you’re using more than 2 lbs, you don’t need to double the cooking time. Add about 30 minutes for each additional pound of turkey.

Dark and white meat:

You have the flexibility to adjust the fat ratio of the ground turkey you use in this recipe. We use a mix of a pound of lean, white turkey and a pound of dark, less lean turkey. Having a bit of dark meat yields a wetter patty, which has always been our preference. This recipe will definitely work with 100% lean white meat turkey or 100% dark meat. Whatever you do will yield delicious results.
